In early 2012, after a Los Angeles performaance as both lead guitarist and bandleader on the “Chelsea Madchen” tour for acclaimed singer Tammy Lang [[http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0485926/]], a.k.a. Tammy Faye Starlight [http://www.tammyfayestarlite.com/], Huffington Post music correspondent Wendy Block praised Andrews as “…talented and entertaining …a virtuoso guitarist,” adding that the band he led had played “…some of the tightest blues-rock I’ve heard in years.” Neil Tennant [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Tennant]] of The Pet Shop Boys[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pet_Shop_Boys]] commented to the NY Daily News, “The band was brilliant.” Best-selling author and blues historian Byron Laursen said the guitar playing was “Jaw-dropping…” citing Andrews as, “A musician who lifts the performances of the people around him.”
