In 1990 Andrews was the composer for Wildest Dreams, a film made under the auspices of the American Film Institute, written and directed by the Emmy-nominated Anne Makepeace, and starring Rebecca Jenkins, Victoria Catlin, and William Petersen.
In the same year, a 1990 Los Angeles club show Andrews played with Grammy-winner Shandi Sinnamon highlighted songs the pair co-wrote. Variety called the performances “strong and tasteful.”
In the mid-’90s, an Andrews song “Deep Sleep Motel” was on the debut album of Elektra/Asylum recording group Nancy Boy. Members includedAnndrews, Donovan Leitch, son of ’60s icon Donovan, Jason Nesmith, and son of Monkee Michael Nesmith.
Andrews’ long-standing collaboration with percussionist Roger Larocque resulted in a multitude of television and film credits for songs, musical cues, and instrumental performances, for such programs as NCIS, TMZ, Ellen DeGeneres, Tyra Banks and Judge Mathis.
